About Me
- Dr. Fei LIU (刘非) received his Ph.D. in 2020. He is now working as a faculty member at Chongqing Jiaotong University (重庆交通大学) (2020-).
- Dr. Liu’s research interests include developing novel methods in urban flood and coastal inundation management as well as the applications. Both aspects of scientific and technological research are considered.
- Undergraduate Courses: Simulation Technology for Urban Stormwater (城市雨洪模拟技术), Urban Flood Defence and Stormwater Management (城镇防洪与雨水管理), Building Fire Engineering (建筑消防工程)
- Postgraduate Courses: Process and analysis of scientific data (科学数据处理与分析)
To prospective students:
- Due to the rapid urbanization and climate change, heavy rainfall is likely to happen in a more frequent and intensive manner. To better understand the characteristics and mechanism of urban flood in this context, numerical models can be applied. Basically, in my team, one-dimensional drainage pipe model like SWMM, and two-dimensional flood model such as FVCOM and Lisflood are used. To know more, you can access the links in the bottom.
- The inundation induced by storm surge, tsunami and river flood in coastal areas (e.g., Tokyo Bay) is also studied using numerical models like FVCOM.
- Now a few postgraduate students are studying under my guidance. I also collaborate with other professors of our department in supervising students. If you are interested in the topics, welcome to join us.
